Sri Lanka - Norway Business Matchmaking (BMMP) Programme implemented by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with NORAD (Norwegian Assistance for Regional Development) has been in operation since 1994. The programme aims to promote trade and business development between Sri Lankan and Norwegian companies and facilitate transfer of Norwegian technical competence to Sri Lanka through a matchmaking process.

Plans have been finalized with our partners in Norway, Advance Business Partner AS to organize a visit by Infosector AS, Norway - a Software innovation and consulting company, instrumental in developing a unique matchmaking software and service, “eMatch” for the ICT and new media sectors.


The e-Match platform

e-Match www.ematch.eu is a shared platform for business and innovation matchmaking that allows you to increase your visibility, search for partners and maximize your opportunities with potential commercial and project partners. By submitting your business and innovation profile to the e-Match database, you increase considerably your international visibility. Your organization and company profiles are made available for regional and sector-based partner search, and are syndicated to business portals and services worldwide. e-Match is the perfect partner search tool. Whether you are looking for commercial partners or project partners, e-Match will be your source of information of choice.


Invitation to the ICT sector in Sri Lanka

CCC and Advance Business Partner in Norway invite ICT companies in Sri Lanka to participate in making their companies more visible by entering – and updating their profiles on this business matching platform – free of charge. By submitting your profile to e-Match, you will be included in e-Match matchmaking opportunities (content syndication, physical and virtual matchmaking events, one2one matchmaking, unilateral matchmaking searches, etc.)


Seminar on 9th of August in Colombo

CCC invites you to an introductory seminar on Business matchmaking (BMMP) programme on 9th August 2011 from 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm at the Board room of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce. A presentation on the e-match platform and matchmaking process will also be made by the founder of e-Match, Mr. Baard Krogshus, CEO Infosector AS, at this seminar. Kindly fill in the attached registration form by latest 29th of July 2011. Please note due to limitation of seating, only one representative from each company can be accommodated


The Matchmaking process

During June –July the project management will evaluate and make comments to the e-Match profiles that have been entered on to the system by the companies in Sri Lanka, then select the most relevant profiles for the Norwegian market based on feedback from ICT member organizations and ABP’s consulting network in Norway. The selected profile owners will be invited to meet up with relevant and interested Norwegian partners in a speed-dating session followed by more indebts discussions on potential collaboration. This event will take place 12th and 13th of October in Oslo, Norway.

 

Participating in the workshop in Oslo, Oct. 12. and 13. - travel support

Sri Lanka companies should register their interest to participate by submitting the form below and completing an eMatch profiler (www.ematch.eu) by Aug. 25. The logistics are as follows:

  • By Aug. 25.: Registration of interest to Khema and submitting a competing eMatch profile.
  • By Sept. 1.: Selection of max. 15 companies receiving travel support. Selection criterias are 
    • Quality and relevance of eMatch profile and uploaded cases and reference projects.
    • Need for financial support
  • By Sept. 5.: Final listing of Sri Lanka companies participating in Oslo - with eMatch profiles.
  • September: marketing of workshop towards Norwegian companies. Dynamic listing of Norwegian participants on this web. 
  • October 5.: Final participants list on this web.


During June –July the project management will evaluate and make comments to the e-Match profiles that have been entered on to the system by the
